Tools Required
- Trim removal tools (plastic preferred) 
- Ratchet with 8mm or 10mm socket (varies by model) 
- Microfiber cloth 
1️. Preparation
- Open the Trunk, and access the inside of the trunk where the taillight wiring is located. 
- Remove the carpeted liner or plastic cover behind the taillight using a trim tool or by hand. This exposes the taillight bolts and wiring harness. 
2️. Disconnect the Wiring Harness
- ⚠ Always disconnect the car battery before doing any electrical work to avoid shorts or error codes, especially with LED or OLED lights. 
- Locate the connector going to the taillight. 
- Press the tab and unplug it carefully. 
3️. Remove Mounting Bolts
- Use your socket wrench to remove the bolts or nuts holding the taillight in place. 
- Hold the taillight as you remove the last bolt. It may fall or slide out. 
4️. Remove the Old Taillight
- Gently pull the taillight out from the rear of the car. 
- If it is stuck, carefully wiggle it. There may be alignment pins or clips holding it. 
5️. Install the New Taillight
- Line up the new taillight with the guide pins and mounting holes. 
- Carefully push it into place. 
- Reinstall the bolts and tighten snugly. Be careful not to overtighten as you could crack the light or the body panel. 
6. Reconnect the Wiring Harness
- Plug the wiring back in securely. 
- For some taillights you may need to - Use adapters included in the kit. 
 
7. Test the Lights
- Reconnect the battery. 
- Test brake lights, turn signals, reverse, and parking lights. 
- Make sure there are no error messages on the dash. 
8. Reassemble Trunk Liner
- Once everything is confirmed to work, reinstall the trunk liner or plastic cover. 
✅ Installation Complete!
