Tools Required
- Flathead screwdriver 
- 16mm socket 
1️. Disconnect the Battery
- Open your trunk (or hood) and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. 
2️. Remove the Airbag
- Insert a flathead screwdriver or pick tool to release the retaining spring (little holes on the sides of the wheel). 
- Do the same on both sides. 
- Carefully pull the airbag forward and disconnect the yellow plugs. 
- Set the airbag facing up on a soft surface away from you. 
3️. Remove the Steering Wheel
- Unplug the wiring connectors inside the wheel (horn, buttons, paddle shifters, etc.). 
- Use a 16mm socket to remove the center bolt holding the wheel to the column. 
- Mark the shaft with a Sharpie so you can align the new wheel correctly, also follow the original alignment line. 
- Carefully pull the wheel straight off. Wiggle if it is tight, but don’t force it. Be careful not to spin the clock spring. 
4️. Install the New Wheel
- ⚠ If you are upgrading from a base wheel to one with paddle shifters, extra wiring or coding may be required. 
- Line up the new wheel with your alignment mark. 
- Plug in all connectors for buttons, paddles, or heating (if applicable). 
- Torque the center bolt to ~62 Nm (45 ft-lb). 
- Tuck in the wires neatly. 
5️. Reinstall the Airbag
- Plug in the yellow airbag connectors. 
- Press the airbag module firmly into place until it clicks on both sides. 
6. Reconnect the Battery & Test
- Reconnect the negative terminal. 
- Start the car and check: - Steering wheel controls 
- Paddle shifters (if installed) 
- Heated wheel (if applicable) 
- No airbag or steering errors on the dash 
 
✅ Installation Complete!
