Side Skirts Installation GuideUpdated an hour ago

Tools Required

  • Cleaning supplies (microfiber towel, isopropyl alcohol)

  • Masking tape

  • (Optional) Jack and jack stands for better access

1️. Preparation

  • Clean the rocker panels (area under the doors where the skirts attach).

  • Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease or wax.

  • If you’re using tape, apply it to the inner edge of the side skirts now but don’t peel the backing off yet.

2️. Step-by-Step Installation

  • Lift the Car (Optional but Helpful)

  • Use ramps or jack stands to raise the side of the car for easier access to the underside.

  • Test Fit the Side Skirts

  • Hold the carbon fiber skirts up to the rocker panel to see how they line up.

  • Use masking tape to mark the alignment if needed.

  • Make sure they fit snugly front to back and don’t interfere with the wheels or undertray.

3️. Tape and Position the Skirts

  • If using tape:

    • Peel a few inches of the tape backing on each strip.

    • Stick the skirt in place while keeping the full backing on (use the peeled ends to help position).

    • Firmly press the skirt against the rocker panel to stick the tape down.

4️. Drill and Screw (Main Fastening Step)

  • Once aligned, use a drill to pre-drill small pilot holes underneath the rocker panel (not visible).

  • Secure the skirt using self-tapping screws.

  • Start from the center and work outward for even fitment.

  • Be careful not to overtighten. You don’t want to crack the carbon fiber.

5️. Final Fit Check

  • Re-check all screw connections and tape adhesion.

  • Wipe off any fingerprints or smudges from the carbon fiber.

  • Make sure the skirts are snug and flush along the body line.
