Mirror Caps Installation GuideUpdated a month ago
Tools Required
- Painter’s tape or microfiber towel
- Plastic pry tool
1️. Preparation
- Park on a flat surface.
2️. Protect the Mirror Housing
- Apply painter’s tape or place a microfiber towel over the painted parts of the mirror housing to avoid scratching anything during removal.
3️. Remove the OEM Mirror Cap
- ⚠️ Do not use metal tools as they can crack the cap or scratch your paint.
- Use a plastic pry tool to gently wedge between the mirror cap and the housing.
- Start from the side edge or outer corner.
- Work your way around slowly. The cap is held in with plastic clips, so it will "pop" off when you apply gentle but firm pressure.
- Pull the cap outward once the clips are disengaged.
4️. Install the New Mirror Cap
- Align the new cap with the clip positions.
- Press it into place firmly until you hear the clips snap in.
- Start at the outer edge and work inward to ensure a tight fit.
5️. Final Adjustments
- Check Fitment and make sure the cap is flush all around.
- Optional: If Your Cap Has Turn Signals or Cameras - If your replacement caps have integrated LEDs or camera mounts (for blind spot, 360 view, etc.):
- You may need to transfer those components over from the old cap.
- This might require a Torx screwdriver to unscrew the internals.
- Be careful with wiring. Always unplug your car battery if you plan to mess with electronics.
